The Boeing Space & Launch team is seeking a Mid-level or Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer for development projects in El Segundo, CA and Mesa, AZ. The Space and Launch Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit, working with proprietary customers in the development of next-generation technologies in space. This position focuses on system analysis involving production of models and simulations to support business needs, as well as the design of constellations to support proprietary missions. The group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments. The candidate will participate in all phases of the system development life cycle, including concept of operations (ConOps) development, requirements development, analysis and decomposition, software and hardware system design, algorithm design, risk management, integration, test and operations. The role functions as a Modeling and Simulation Analyst, assigned as a technical leader in business development or on an active program. This broad customer-oriented position entails building, executing, and/or presenting system level analysis for space-based systems. The work is often requirements focused and critical at all stages of program development and execution. Analysis may be general and scheduled (e.g., subsystem or system of systems trade evaluation using existing tools and processes to support design reviews or other program milestones) or it may support special needs of individual programs requiring problem definition, problem solving, and coordination within the system engineering team to establish and justify the best process to model and analyze the situation.
