About The Position

Radiance Technologies is an employee-owned company seeking a talented software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. We are looking for a junior developer to work with a diverse team of software engineers and analysts to explore and develop solutions in support of AFRL, NASIC, and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects. The candidate will be expected to evolve an existing Modeling & Simulation frameworks (AFSIM) and its codebase based upon customer needs. The candidate will also be expected to incorporate scenarios and models into AFSIM, while performing testing and verification. Modern Agile software development practices are expected to be used. We are focused on finding innovative, self-starters who can adapt to a fast-paced, high-profile development effort.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Strong communication and organizational skills
US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Minimum of 3 years of M&S development experience
Minimum of 3 years software development experience
Minimum of 2 years C++ and Python3
Experience following agile development processes
Experience using tools such as git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners or similar
Experience developing software for Linux platforms

Nice To Haves

Experience with a full technical stack, including backend framework development, network programming, CICD, scientific computing, regression test development, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience working with modeling and simulation tools, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE
Experience with virtual machine and container management platforms such as WSL2 and Docker
Experience with integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, or similar
Familiarity with DoD security practices

Responsibilities
