About The Position

Vantor is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) & Test Engineer to work with the U.S. Space Force to define and manage an integrated system-of-systems space enterprise. This role involves architecting, engineering, integrating, testing, and deploying systems, as well as identifying areas requiring urgent mitigation. The engineer will evaluate software developed for national defense, create test plans with test cases based on user stories and requirements, and use automated and manual processes to generate data, implement test cases, observe software performance, document results, and communicate defects. The position also involves researching new requirements, technologies, and threats, and using innovative engineering methodologies and tools to create solutions. Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required, and an active U.S. Government security clearance is necessary.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in developmental testing
  • Experience performing requirements analysis, synthesis, and traceability for shall statement and supplemental fields evaluation, including test method and success criteria
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience architecting complex systems in Model-Based Systems Engineering, including CAMEO or Rhapsody
  • Knowledge of DoD Instructions 5000.87 and 5000.89
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed test procedures for Developmental and Operational Test Events
  • Ability to build automated test scripts and custom harnesses using a tool such as Python or Cypress

  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Confluence or Jira
  • Experience with radar system operations or radar modeling
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience interfacing with formal government test organizations, including 17TES or JITC
  • Knowledge of software deployment and troubleshooting processes in DevSecOps pipelines, including Platform 1 or DAFCw
  • Ability to run and evaluate complex simulation frameworks
  • Docker or Kubernetes Certification
