Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer

Vantor•El Segundo, CA
•$99,000 - $145,200•Onsite

About The Position

Vantor is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) background to support the U.S. Space Force in defining, managing, and sustaining an integrated system-of-systems space enterprise. The engineer will use MBSE tools, including Cameo, to develop and manage system requirements, establish traceability, link model elements, and generate reports that support program decisions. The role also develops and maintains a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan aligned with program objectives and long-term support strategies. As part of the engineering team, the engineer supports architecture, engineering, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities, and identifies areas requiring early mitigation. The role contributes to knowledge management by organizing and maintaining technical documentation in Confluence and Git-based repositories. It also involves researching emerging requirements, technologies, and threats, and applying engineering methodologies and tools to create mission-focused solutions. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance. Work is primarily on-site in El Segundo (LAAFB), 4–5 days per week. Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws requiring U.S. person status.
