About The Position

KODA Technologies is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Systems Engineer to join its digital engineering team as a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE). The role supports Army systems by delivering comprehensive models that improve product understanding and efficiency and expedite timelines for legacy and new systems. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.
• At least 3 years of related experience in MBSE, software engineering, and/or systems engineering on complex systems.
• Working knowledge of SysML and MBSE tools such as Magic Draw/Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, or DOORS.
• Basic knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, verification, testing, and system integration.
• Understanding of system interface requirements and requirements management through SysML models.
• Demonstrated ability to master complex technical subjects quickly.
• Experience developing and presenting briefings to Government customers.
• Goal-oriented, with excellent people skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, a strong work ethic, and a self-starting approach.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, in writing and verbally, to non-technical stakeholders and people without MBSE training.
• Ability to make significant contributions through creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SysML/UML models covering major systems and subsystems, software, digital architecture, requirements, and specifications.
• Integrate models into system functional models.
• Support system development in an architect role, including requirements management, configuration management, data management, and risk management.
• Develop and maintain functional and logical models for the system of interest.
• Develop user guides, training, demonstrations, and other resources to promote the expansion of model-based systems engineering.
• Participate in system requirements reviews and create or update requirement specifications and qualification models.
