About The Position

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer to join its team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position. In the senior role, the engineer will work on high-fidelity SysMLv2 models for the Navy and collaborate with customers to validate and refine each model.

The position involves architecting, developing, and integrating MBSE models of Navy systems and processes for documentation, engineering analysis, and simulation. The engineer evaluates technical options to determine the optimal SysML approach in consultation with customers and management, and manages implementation of the selected architecture in Cameo Systems Modeler. This includes assigning tasks to modelers and ensuring their work reflects the design intent. The role also includes reviewing and abstracting technical documentation, conducting quality assurance reviews, and maintaining configuration management of models and repositories.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• At least 4 years of systems engineering experience or experience working with NAVSEA systems in an engineering role.
• At least 3 years of experience with Cameo Systems Modeler.
• At least 1 year of experience with Jira and Confluence.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Current or active Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with or a strong desire to learn SysMLv2.
• Experience with Navy technical documentation, such as technical manuals and installation drawings.
• Experience with PowerBI or other visualization tools.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code or a similar text editor.

Responsibilities

• Review, extract, and abstract data from technical documentation for incorporation into system models.

• Maintain configuration management of models and repositories.
• Collaborate with customers to validate and refine models.
