About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a dedicated and experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support system-level architecture, requirements traceability, and digital engineering governance for a critical, next-generation Army aviation platform. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to join a high-tempo, dynamic development program supporting the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Program Management Office (PMO) at a vital inflection point. As this flagship Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) progresses through critical design, verification, and integration phases, you will serve as a core technical resource on the front line of digital systems engineering.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant experience
Active Secret clearance and/or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
Experience with conducting requirements analysis, traceability, verification, and validation, with MBSE tools preferably Cameo EA.
Working technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and software engineering

Nice To Haves

Experience with project management and working within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoDI 5000.02 Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
Experience with ISO/IEC 15288 Systems and software engineering — System Life Cycle Processes is desirable.
Knowledge of and experience with the development, airworthiness qualification, integration, system level qualification, reliability and maintainability, fielding, and sustainment of engines, engine subsystems, or LRUs for Army aircraft.

Responsibilities

Ensure the traceability of requirements from FLRAA Capability Description Document and platform performance specifications through the FLRAA functional and allocated baseline specifications utilizing MBSE tools.
Conduct requirements analysis to ensure correct allocation and alignment of requirements across the specification tree.
Review technical documentation, verification plans and reports to ensure fulfillment of all FLRAA requirements.
Support requirement trade studies for resolution of emerging issues during FLRAA development, integration, verification, and validation events.
Support execution of Critical Design Review(s), Technical Risk Assessments, test events and other technical reviews.
Assist in identifying program risks, issues, and opportunities related to cost, schedule, and technical performance; and developing effective mitigation strategies.
Coordinate the processing of changes to system requirements, configuration documents, or contract requirements through the established FLRAA governing processes.
Support development of Systems Engineering Plan, contract requirement package, and other program milestone documentation in accordance with DoD and Army policies, regulations, and instructions for a Major Defense Acquisition Program.
Coordinate the review, adjudication, and staffing of technical and programmatic documentation.
Provide status of SE efforts to program leadership as required.
Support technical personnel with review of model-based deliverables to support program milestones.
