About The Position

This is a systems-level role requiring a strong hardware background and prior experience in the following areas: · Design of complex high-speed digital circuit card assemblies, including PCIe · Leading and mentoring junior engineers · Supporting testing and troubleshooting of systems, modules, and sub-assemblies, working closely with program engineering teams · Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other teams to drive root cause analysis and defect resolution · Driving improvements in product and test design to reduce cost, improve yield, and increase throughput · Creating and reviewing technical documentation such as test procedures, drawings, specifications, reports, and ECOs · Interfacing with government customers and suppliers as needed · Providing training and support to technicians and manufacturing teams · Supporting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities · Mentoring peers and junior engineers

Requirements

  • Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience with airborne actuators
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
  • High-speed digital circuit card design experience
  • Experience in design, integration, and testing of complex electronic systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and problem-solving

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial temperature digital circuit card design
  • FPGA-based circuit card design
  • Experience with embedded processors, PCIe, Ethernet, 1553, SERDES, Fiber Optic, DDR3/DDR4
  • Experience with CAD tools (Mentor/Siemens Xpedition)
  • Pre- and post-layout simulation using HyperLynx
  • Ability to guide layout and routing rules
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills
  • Proven ability to meet challenging design requirements
  • Leadership qualities and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to own tasks and drive them to completion
  • Experience presenting technical information to stakeholders
