About The Position

Penta Research is seeking candidates to work full-time onsite on the flight software development team. The candidate will perform Model-Based Flight Software Development, collaborate closely with the development team to create robust flight software using MATLAB Simulink, leveraging model-based design principles. They will also drive Simulink development and automate the generation of efficient and performative code and algorithms via Embedded Coder. Additionally, the candidate will conduct and participate in thorough code reviews, presenting findings and recommendations to the team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
Proficient with MATLAB
Proficient with Simulink
Knowledge of Gitlab, configuration management and DevOps practices
Active Secret Clearance required.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
Experience with Simulink Coder, Embedded Coder, Simulink Test
Experience with Real-time operating systems
Experience with Embedded software
Experience with C++
Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), Processor-in-the-loop (PIL), etc.
Experience with Real-time Operating Systems
Experience with Testing/developing flight software
Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

Rigorous Code Review & Presentation: Conduct and participate in thorough code reviews, presenting findings and recommendations to the team.
