About The Position

The Model Bartender position at TAO Nightclub Las Vegas is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a high-volume environment. This role involves actively taking orders, providing full food and beverage service, and monitoring the guest experience. The bartender will interact courteously with guests and team members, ensure legal age compliance, and market venue events. Key responsibilities include maintaining a positive attitude, possessing in-depth menu knowledge, ensuring proper service and presentation, complying with health and safety standards, maintaining bar cleanliness and organization, accurately using the POS system, and completing financial procedures. The role also involves participating in pre-service meetings, training sessions, and marketing efforts, including social media and posing for promotional materials. Teamwork and assisting with additional tasks are also essential.

Requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • Bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/dayclub/lounge.
  • 21+ years of age (Nightlife/Daylife requirements).
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate.
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day.
  • Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move quickly.
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards.
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and serves all alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages for guests and venue servers.
  • Actively takes orders, conducts full and complete food/beverage service, and monitors guests’ bar/dining experience.
  • Interacts with bar guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner.
  • Requests identification from guests when legal age is questioned and when processing credit card payment transactions.
  • Works efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and body language to deliver superior guest service.
  • Markets the venue and its events as well as other company venues and events.
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
  • Anticipates and accommodates all guest needs.
  • Solicits any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest during food service (where applicable).
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food/beverage menus and general information about the venues.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of all retail merchandise (where applicable).
  • Presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions for all beverage, and where applicable, food and amenity items.
  • Ensures proper service and delivery and presentation of all food, beverage, and amenity items.
  • Complies with Department of Health standards.
  • Complies with all Tao Group Hospitality safety codes and standards.
  • Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Complies with departmental appearance standards and uniform guidelines.
  • Serves all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and responsible service/alcohol awareness training standards.
  • Ensures the maintenance, general cleanliness, and orderliness of the bars, and surrounding areas.
  • Ensures all liquor displays, coolers, and shelving are organized, and par levels are maintained.
  • Learns and performs proper use of all beverage soda systems.
  • Accurately enters all orders into the POS system and follows proper cash/payment-card procedures.
  • Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures.
  • Reports all breakage, and damage of equipment, the facility, or furniture immediately to management.
  • Informs management of any irregularities, incidents, guest complaints or other disputes.
  • Properly sets up bar and bar stations, performs side-work and other opening/closing procedures.
  • Ensures bar top is clean and free of debris.
  • Sets bar with proper settings/equipment.
  • Stocks bar stations with prescribed supplies.
  • Performs opening side-work as prescribed.
  • Performs closing side-work as prescribed.
  • Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
  • Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
  • Participates in Marketing the company’s venues and events, including but not limited to social media posts and posing for venue and marketing photographers.
  • Learns by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
  • Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
