About The Position
Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a Mobility Tech to join our team! The primary role of this position is to support patient mobility directly on the nursing unit. Performs mobilization of patients under the supervision of the rehabilitation services and nursing departments. Performs routine tasks and assists therapists during patient treatment activities as directed.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
Responsibilities
- M/W/F 7:30a-4p with some holiday and weekend requirements
- Participates in lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients.
- Practices safe patient handling skills and ergonomics.
- Utilizes transfer devices and tools to assist in mobilization of patients.
- Utilizes safety awareness to self, patients, others, and environment.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively within the interdisciplinary team.
- Performs both clerical and effective computer skills.
- Performs set up and cleanup of treatment area including appropriate equipment and supplies.
- Performs mentoring and training of new technician staff.
- Performs all other duties as requested by the manager.
