About The Position

Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a PRN Mobility Technician to support patient mobility directly on the nursing unit. Under the supervision of the rehabilitation services and nursing departments, the Mobility Technician mobilizes patients, performs routine tasks, and assists therapists during patient treatment activities as directed.

Requirements

• Less than one year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Participate in lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients.
• Practice safe patient-handling skills and ergonomics.
• Use transfer devices and tools to assist in mobilizing patients.
• Maintain safety awareness for self, patients, others, and the environment.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform clerical tasks and use computer skills effectively.
• Set up and clean treatment areas, including preparing appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Mentor and train new technician staff.
• Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
