About The Position

Ride Connection is seeking a compassionate, equity-driven Mobility Supervisor to provide leadership within our Mobility Management Department’s Mobility for Health Program. This key role will support advancing our mission to deliver accessible, customer-centered transportation by focusing on the needs of people with disabilities, older adults, and individuals with low incomes—especially those facing language and systemic barriers to services and transportation. The Mobility for Health Program promotes independence, dignity, and inclusion by building community partnerships and offering personalized coaching that helps individuals navigate transportation and overcome barriers. As Mobility Supervisor, you will guide a dedicated team whose work promotes independence and connects people to transportation resources and their communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of leadership experience in a social services environment
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with disabilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity-based, culturally responsive practice
  • Strong listening, interviewing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach staff and provide constructive feedback
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Training and facilitation experience; comfortable speaking to groups
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software
  • Reliable transportation for work-related travel
  • Valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a national criminal background check (including fingerprints)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Portland Metro transportation systems and services
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Education in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Counseling, or related fields
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency (especially in Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, or Vietnamese)
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations

Responsibilities

  • Lead with integrity, professionalism, and clear communication
  • Foster a culture of trust, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Represent Ride Connection at meetings, events, and public venues, supporting program visibility and strengthening community partnerships including presentations.
  • Promote customer-centered service grounded in dignity, respect, and equity
  • Oversee onboarding, training, coaching, and retention of team members
  • Monitor staff performance, documentation, and program compliance
  • Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and service assignments
  • Support inclusive practices and culturally responsive service delivery
  • Guide staff in maintaining accurate up to date knowledge of regional transportation information
  • Strengthen relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders
  • Participate in program evaluation, quality improvement, and reporting
  • Ensure staff follow organizational policies and meet professional standards
  • Provide backup coverage and additional support as needed
