About The Position

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for a Mobility Field Operations Inspector. This role is primarily responsible for monitoring the Service Delivery (SD) contractor's compliance with the MTA contract for Mobility costs. The position will provide day-to-day monitoring and guidance across MTA Mobility service, as well as investigate and develop solutions for operational and administrative issues. The role involves managing observations of Mobility service, monitoring operators for schedule adherence, ensuring compliance with MTA rules and procedures, and overseeing the delivery of transit service. The position is tasked with ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable public transportation, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Five years of experience in a transit system and/or transportation operation.
Two (2) years of experience in Field oversight.
Familiarity with Technology platforms such as Trapeze or any other time management/schedule platforms.
Familiarity with incident reporting.
Possession of a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

Ensuring operations compliance to MTA rules and procedures.
Overseeing the delivery of transit service.
Ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable public transportation.
Adhering to all safety rules, policies, regulations, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Participating in safety meetings.
Reporting hazards, unsafe acts, near misses, injuries, and accidents immediately to the Office of Safety and supervision.
