About The Position

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is seeking a Mobility Equipment Technician to join their team. This role involves delivering, installing, servicing, and repairing customized mobility and accessibility equipment for children, adults, and seniors. The technician will work with a variety of products including wheelchairs, hospital beds, ceiling lifts, ramps, and stairlifts, helping clients live more independent lives. The position combines hands-on mechanical work with exceptional customer service, offering a rewarding career with a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Mechanical ability, curiosity, and a great attitude.
  • Enjoy working with your hands and solving mechanical problems.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team.

  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering, installing, servicing, and repairing mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
  • Assembling, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of mobility products.
  • Educating clients and caregivers on the safe operation and care of their equipment.
  • Installing products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, grab bars, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
  • Completing required documentation, including wheelchair setup records.
  • Maintaining rental equipment and supporting warehouse operations.
  • Working collaboratively with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Providing outstanding customer service while building positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Assisting with inventory management and other branch responsibilities as needed.
