About The Position

This position performs clerical and supportive clinical functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Physical Therapy Department. It involves routine care and cleaning of equipment, preparing patients for treatment, transporting patients, records, equipment and supplies. The role also includes performing some treatment procedures under direct supervision and general office procedures.

Requirements

• Hospital will train.
• Must be energetic and patient oriented.
• Ability to read and write English at 12th grade level.
• Must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and supportive clinical functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Physical Therapy Department.
• Performs routine care and cleaning of equipment.
• Prepares patients for treatment and/or assists patients in preparation for departure at the end of treatment.
• Transports patients, records, equipment and supplies.
• Performs some treatment procedures, such as follow-up of functional and ambulation activities, routine-specific exercises and application of superficial heat or cold under direct supervision of a P.T. or P.T.A.
• Performs general office procedures.
