About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Mobile Vascular Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) for a permanent/full-time position in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Local candidates are preferred. This mobile position involves servicing multiple healthcare facilities throughout the Bay Area, providing high-quality mobile ultrasound services at various locations including nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, home care settings, and correctional facilities. The role requires performing diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations using portable equipment, obtaining technically accurate images for interpretation, and managing daily case assignments. The position also involves maintaining equipment and the company vehicle, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Registered with ARDMS or CCI for Vascular Ultrasound – Required
  • General Vascular credential (RVT or RVS) – Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program – Required
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record – Required
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption – Required
  • Ability to work independently while traveling between healthcare facilities
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
  • Ability to lift and transport portable ultrasound equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Current certifications and registry credentials maintained throughout employment – Highly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality mobile ultrasound services at nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, home care settings, correctional facilities, and other healthcare locations.
  • Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations using portable ultrasound equipment.
  • Obtain technically accurate and clinically diagnostic images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
  • Upload and transmit completed studies electronically for physician review.
  • Manage daily case assignments through the dispatch system while maintaining communication with dispatch throughout the workday.
  • Verify physician orders and patient identification prior to every examination.
  • Ensure all documentation, billing, and examination paperwork are completed accurately and submitted daily.
  • Maintain portable ultrasound equipment and company vehicle in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate professionally with physicians, nurses, dispatch staff, and healthcare facility personnel.
  • Cross-train and assist with additional ultrasound procedures as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control standards, annual health requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and assist with mentoring other sonographers when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
