About The Position

This is a mobile service position where the technician will diagnose and repair trailer and reefer units following service department processes, procedures, and systems while practicing UKTS’ values. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, quality, ultimate customer experience, and inventory control. Please note that this position does not provide roadside emergency repairs.

Requirements

Ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in Electrical Systems.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in Structural Repairs.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in Chassis Repairs.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in Hydraulic / Air Brake / ABS systems.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and guide technicians in Lift Gate Systems.
Ability to perform D.O.T. Inspections.
Perform all levels of preventive maintenance.
Identify warrantable repairs and document using provided UKTS processes.
Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Excellent organization, customer service, communication and planning skills.
High school diploma or GED.
1-3 years related experience/training preferred.

Responsibilities

Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and constant focus on daily efficiency and production.
Perform repairs and inspections on all semi-trailer makes and models.
Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on vehicles, along with DOT inspections.
Repair/Replace vehicle components.
Open and Close repair orders on company issued laptop.
Manage parts inventory on the service truck.
Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most SRT times.
