About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking talented Mobile Trailer Technicians to join their growing, family-oriented team. This role utilizes cutting-edge technology to minimize administrative tasks, allowing technicians to focus on their craft. The position involves a mix of yard work (80%) and mobile road calls (20%), providing essential repair and maintenance services for commercial trailers. The company emphasizes quality customer service and adherence to U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements. Technicians will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on trailer bodies, systems, and components, including structural body work, hubs, axles, tires, brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The role also requires compiling inspection reports and documenting all repairs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Trailer repair experience.
  • Ability to do Structural Body Work is a Must.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
  • Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
  • Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
  • Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding, certification a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school degree, a plus.
  • Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial trailers.
  • Write detailed work orders.
  • Perform work 80% in yard sites and 20% on mobile road calls.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required.
  • Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
  • Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
  • Ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management.
  • Respond to client queries.
