About The Position

The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for performing mechanical repairs on boats and equipment at off site locations and marinas. This role involves operating customer vessels during diagnostic water testing, ensuring warranty repairs meet manufacturer guidelines, and preparing detailed repair estimates. The technician will manage inventory and tools on company vehicles, maintain customer satisfaction through timely and professional service, and communicate effectively with internal departments. Maintaining a clean company vehicle and a safe driving record are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Mechanical repair skills for boats and equipment
Ability to operate customer vessels during diagnostic water testing
Knowledge of warranty repair procedures
Ability to inspect boats and prepare detailed estimates
Proficiency with service schedulers and SSO's
Inventory and tool management skills

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical repairs on boats and equipment
Safely operate customer vessel during diagnostic water testing
Ensure all warranty repairs are completed according to manufacturers and MarineMax guidelines
Inspect boats, prepare and itemize estimate listing parts and labor
Complete repair work utilizing service scheduler and SSO’s within the established timeframe
Maintain and secure inventory and tools on company vehicles at all times
Ensure customer satisfaction by arriving for service calls in a timely manner and presenting a professional picture of MarineMax
Follow-up with customer to ensure complete satisfaction
Maintain effective communication with the service and parts departments
Ensure professional and clean appearance of company vehicles
Safely operate company vehicle and remain within posted speed limits
Maintain a safe driving record
