About The Position

We are seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join the team at Payne Weslaco Ford. The Mobile Service Technician will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs for customer vehicles. Applicants must be 21 years or older and possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 consecutive years. This role demands attention to detail, technical prowess, and superior customer service skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or automotive training preferred
• Proven experience as an automotive technician, mobile service technician, or similar role
• Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and repair procedures
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 consecutive years with a clean driving record
• Exceptional communication and customer service abilities
• Strong ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended durations
• Possess good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Willingness to travel within a designated service area
• Uphold company standards for safety, customer service, and work quality

Responsibilities

• Travel to various customer locations to conduct vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Perform regular maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Diagnose and rectify engine, transmission, electrical, and other automotive issues
• Interact with customers to explain repairs and provide cost estimates
• Ensure all work is executed accurately and in a timely fashion
• Maintain precise records of services and parts utilized
• Keep the work vehicle and equipment clean and organized
