Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Cypress, TX. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical issues and keeping fleet vehicles running reliably, offering an opportunity to grow your career with a stable national company. The position involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and conducting inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards. Accurate documentation of repairs and completion of work orders are essential, as is maintaining a clean and organized work area. Technicians are expected to follow all safety procedures and company policies, and collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
