About The Position

Provides field supervision of Securitas Mobile personnel in patrol, inspection, shared guarding and/or response operations; provides patrol and response service as needed. The primary job function is supervision of guarding personnel in patrol/inspection operations.

Requirements

  • Must have prior security supervisory experience
  • Ability to work overnight shifts consistently
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Open availability is required for consideration
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • May be required to hold and continue to meet the requirements for any applicable state, county and municipal license for Security Officers.
  • Knowledge of security operations with an emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.

  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Keyboarding, basic computer usage and operating controls.
  • Seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular use of vehicle for the performance of duties.
  • On occasion may be required to perform stressful and physical activity.
  • Depending upon assignment may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
  • May be exposed to or required to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises guards and other personnel in patrol, inspection, shared guarding and/or response operations; ensures that personnel deliver high quality service; evaluates service quality and initiates any necessary corrective action in a timely manner.
  • Meets with Branch management and/or client representatives for status updates and to address any actual or potential problems; provides support during client start-ups; provides input to security planning, assessments and surveys; reviews orders and communicates requirements and changes to affected personnel.
  • Participates in and coordinates with Branch management regarding the orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; ensures that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
  • Assigns and directs work; coaches employees, and carries out disciplinary actions, as necessary; supports staff as appropriate in carrying out their respective responsibilities; refers problematic issues to Branch management.
  • Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Communicates and coordinates with Branch management regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters, to ensure smooth delivery of services; meets with Branch management and other supervisory personnel to discuss customer service, initiatives, personnel matters, and related issues.
  • Inspects patrol routes and sites as assigned to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with orders, contracts and directives; visits client representatives to ensure that they remain satisfied with services provided; covers vacant routes or assignments as necessary.
  • Reviews client and company required reports for accuracy and timeliness; assists in preparing and submitting payroll information.
  • Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.
