About The Position

Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard. What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk and act accordingly. Your keen sense of observation and strong social skills are your greatest strengths. As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
• Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• Clean criminal record
• Must provide a valid First Aid certificate.
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus for extended periods
• Proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry out patrols throughout the shift

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Provide support and relief for other security guards when needed
• Control access to secure areas and verify identification
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
