About The Position

ETRADE by Morgan Stanley is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Mobile Product Manager for the Digital Client Experience & Platforms team in Purchase, NY. Morgan Stanley is a global financial services firm committed to providing a superior foundation for professional growth. The Wealth Management (WM) Platforms organization focuses on delivering unified digital experiences across all WM channels and client segments. The Digital Client Experience & Platforms Team specifically manages mobile, retail web, bank platforms, portfolio analytics, digital advice, and account opening. The Morgan Stanley Mobile Platform team is responsible for creating leading digital experiences for Wealth Management and ETRADE clients, enabling them to manage, monitor, and grow their financial lives. This involves understanding customers, leveraging market insights, making data-driven decisions, and employing modern engineering practices to deliver innovative, secure, scalable, and accessible solutions. The team works collaboratively with product, engineering, UX, QA, architecture, and business teams to drive initiatives from strategy to execution, ensuring alignment with client needs, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and enterprise technology standards. The goal is to increase client engagement, accelerate digital adoption, and maintain Morgan Stanley's leadership in digital wealth management.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in digital product management, with strong knowledge of client-facing mobile, web, and API-based digital experiences.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, wealth management, brokerage, or related digital financial products and customer experiences.
  • Superior analytical, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, and technical), presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing the definition and execution of projects (conceptualization, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to effectively manage business objectives.
  • Self-motivated, detailed-oriented, team player, and organized.
  • Efficient at managing multiple projects and initiatives concurrently under deadline constraints.
  • BA/BS in business, marketing, computer science, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Owner for a dedicated full-stack agile team responsible for delivering critical mobile, web, and API-enabled capabilities.
  • Own product delivery from concept through launch, balancing customer needs, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technical constraints.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, UX, QA, Compliance, Risk, and Operations to deliver high-quality solutions at scale.
  • Define and maintain a prioritized product backlog, translating business objectives into epics, features, and user stories.
  • Drive agile execution, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and delivery prioritization.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to evaluate solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Coordinate product launches and post-release activities, monitoring performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate product strategy, delivery progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of wealth management, digital investing, mobile industry trends, competitor capabilities, and emerging technologies.
  • Leverage customer research, analytics, and market insights to identify opportunities that improve engagement, adoption, and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with analytics teams to define and measure product success, ensuring decisions are driven by data and measurable outcomes.
  • Analyze customer behavior and feedback to identify opportunities, prioritize enhancements, and inform roadmap decisions.
  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Morgan Stanley's mobile experiences, aligning customer needs with business and enterprise priorities.
  • Gather and prioritize feedback from customers, stakeholders, frontline teams, and market research to identify product opportunities and strategic investments.
  • Own backlog prioritization, ensuring delivery efforts focus on the highest-value initiatives and business outcomes.
  • Develop business cases for key initiatives, incorporating customer demand, market dynamics, competitive analysis, and expected business impact.
  • Define and communicate key performance indicators, roadmap progress, and product outcomes to stakeholders and senior leadership.
