Mobile Phlebotomist
About The Position
APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage. We are seeking independent contractors (ICs) to complete insurance physicals. ICs are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision. These exams are done on a mobile basis in the home or office of the client and may involve blood draws, medical histories, signatures on packets, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12 lead EKGs. ICs must be committed to following all compliance policies, safety policies, and procedures while remaining sensitive to the need for accuracy and confidentiality in the gathering of client information. Depending on the exam requirements, an exam can last anywhere from 15 minutes to a little over an hour.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Familiarity with taking vital signs.
- Familiarity with tablets/computers and scanners is a must.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Internet access.
- Printer.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.
- EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete insurance physicals on a mobile basis in the client's home or office.
- Perform blood draws, take medical histories, obtain signatures on packets, record vital signs, collect saliva samples, and conduct 12 lead EKGs.
- Follow all compliance and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in gathering client information.
