This role involves traveling to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. The Mobile Phlebotomist is responsible for courteous customer interaction, accurate and timely collection of urine, oral fluid, and phlebotomy specimens according to established procedures. This includes processing and packaging specimens for transport, maintaining required records and documentation, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures such as the Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Automobile policies and procedures, Employee Handbook, and Quality Assurance Manual. The position also requires maintaining collection logs, performing clerical duties like filing and maintaining customer logs, and data entry. Accurate submission of expense forms, if applicable, is also a responsibility. The role emphasizes organizational commitment, adherence to grooming and dress code policies, and punctuality. Effective communication with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality. Immediate reporting of unresolved problems to management is required. The phlebotomist must remain polite and courteous at all times and perform miscellaneous duties including keeping the work area neat, disposing of biohazard containers, assisting with inventories, stocking supplies, performing clerical duties, answering phones, dispatching calls, and participating in teams and special projects as assigned.
