About The Position

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Part-time Mobile Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) to join their team. This role supports the Blood Center by collecting blood donations (blood and blood products) safely from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. The position offers a starting salary of $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Miller-Keystone Blood Center is dedicated to saving lives every day by providing blood products to hospitals in PA and NJ.

Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to effectively interact with diverse people and communicate (verbal, written, and listening) fluently in English
Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools, such as Microsoft Office, and ability to use software relevant to the position
Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
6 months' experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
1 years' experience in customer service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilize job experience and knowledge to provide exceptional donor experiences.
Ability to utilize all computer systems to process donors through their donor process (screening and whole blood phlebotomy, and automated collections when appropriate).
Take personal responsibility for donor safety, complying with all Blood Center standard procedures and other regulatory standards.
Set-up all supplies and equipment, completion of daily QC, and assure all equipment and supplies are available before the collection event.
