About The Position

PTI Health seeks an experienced, full-time Mobile Phlebotomist with a passion for caring for people. This role involves the procurement of blood and other laboratory specimens from home-bound patients and patients at facilities such as nursing homes, drug rehabilitation centers, adult daycares, and PSCs. The position requires attention to detail, a great attitude, empathy, patience, a caring spirit, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Valid NCPT Phlebotomy certificate by NCCT, NHA or a current certification by an accepted certifying agency for phlebotomy.
• Employees must demonstrate initial and annual competencies to remain in the position.
• Experience using an iPad, centrifuge, and office printer.
• Reliable and efficient transportation is required. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance, or alternatively, be able to use public transportation and possess a OMNY Card.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Mobile Phlebotomy experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with the highest level of care.
• Uphold the highest level of ethical behavior.
• Follow policies, procedures, and requirements stipulated by PTI Mobile Lab and our partners.
• Procure blood and other laboratory specimens from patients utilizing standard venipuncture (and other appropriate) procedures.
• Process specimens (centrifuge, pipette, and freeze when required).
• Transport specimens to local lab or PSC for processing.
