About The Position
Traveling to healthcare facilities to perform blood draws. Verify patient identity using the identifiers. Collect blood samples using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques. Label specimens accurately and ensure proper handling and transportation. Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions. Communicate professionally with patients and help them feel comfortable. Complete collection paperwork and electronic documentation. Maintain phlebotomy supplies and keep equipment clean and organized. Follow scheduled appointments and prioritize STAT or time-sensitive collections. Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
