This position involves traveling to Skilled Nursing Facilities and Private Residential homes to service patients. The Mobile Phlebotomist is responsible for treating all customers courteously, ensuring accurate and timely collection of urine, oral fluid, and phlebotomy specimens according to established procedures. The role also includes processing and packaging specimens for transport, maintaining required records and documentation, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, the position requires performing clerical duties such as filing and maintaining customer logs, data entry, and submitting accurate expense forms. The Mobile Phlebotomist must demonstrate organizational commitment, adhere to grooming and dress code policies, and maintain punctuality. Effective communication with clients, customers, coworkers, and the public is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality. Any unresolved problems must be immediately communicated to the appropriate management. The role also involves maintaining a neat and clean work area, proper disposal of biohazard containers, assisting with inventories and stocking supplies, and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned, including answering phones, dispatching calls, and participating in teams and special projects.
