About The Position

Join the ImpactLife team as a Collection Specialist Driver within the Donor Services Phlebotomy team. This role involves conducting donor registrations, screenings, physicals, and phlebotomy, as well as providing donor care during the donation process. A key responsibility includes driving large blood center vehicles (such as box-trucks, truck and trailer combos) to transport blood drive supplies and team members. The position also requires the set-up and tear down of collection operations and restocking supplies. This is a full-time position, working 30-39 hours per week, with varied hours including days, evenings, and weekends. ImpactLife is an independent, community nonprofit that provides lifesaving blood products to over 120 hospitals and emergency medical service providers across a four-state region (Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin). The organization has grown to over 800 team members and has been saving lives for 50 years.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Enjoy working with the public
  • Have a good, stable work history
  • Understand the importance of following standard operating procedures
  • Be able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Be able to train away from home for up to two weeks at a time
  • Be comfortable driving larger vehicles (i.e. box-trucks, truck and trailer combos)
  • Be comfortable driving in various weather conditions
  • Possess a valid driver's license in the state in which you reside and be insurable by our insurance carrier
  • Must have REAL ID
  • Hold or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certification Physical card
  • Pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report are required

Responsibilities
