About The Position

Carter BloodCare is hiring a Mobile Phlebotomist 1 for its Mobile Collections team in the Waco area. Mobile Collections teams travel to different locations for blood drives, connecting with different donors each day. Team members arrive in Waco, TX, and ride to designated blood drive locations. The role is part of the process of procuring safe, quality blood products. No prior healthcare experience is required, and paid training may last up to nine weeks. Phlebotomists connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of donation. They work with teammates to create a welcoming environment that encourages volunteer donors to return and invite others to donate. Careful attention to detail helps ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. Mobile team members also move, set up, and take down equipment at blood drives. During training, days and hours vary according to mobile drives or donor-center hours and may include early mornings, late nights, and weekends. After training, team members work a variable schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are provided three weeks in advance. The position involves irregular shifts, long hours, frequent schedule changes, and possible overtime.
