About The Position

This role involves performing echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients according to protocol, ensuring accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review, and adhering to sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines. The sonographer will complete preliminary reports with measurements and comments, maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards, and be responsible for transporting and setting up portable ultrasound equipment. Additionally, the position requires performing basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment, traveling to patient homes to conduct visits, explaining procedures, obtaining informed cooperation from participants, and monitoring patient comfort and safety during imaging.

Requirements

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or RCS (for echo)
  • Certification in Adult is required
  • 3+ years of clinical sonography experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel locally/regionally
  • Strong attention to detail and image quality
  • Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
  • Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
  • Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
  • Time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric certification not required, but a plus
