Mobile Pediatric and Adult Sonographer (Echo) - Per Diem
About The Position
Perform echocardiograms per protocol on adult and pediatric patients. Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review. Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines. Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments. Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards. Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment. Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment. Travel to patient homes to conduct visits. Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants. Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Certification in Adult is required
- 3+ years of clinical sonography experience, in both adult and pediatrics
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally/regionally
- Access to a personal computer and reliable internet required
- Tech savvy and self-sufficient with digital tools
- Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
- Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments
- Time management and organizational skills
