Mobile Optometrist
About The Position
This is a mobile optometry position covering Hillsborough County, FL, focusing on geriatric care in assisted living facilities. The role involves a high percentage of medical optometry, providing essential eye health services to seniors who may not otherwise have access to care. The position offers flexibility with the option to start with 2-3 days per week and increase to 4-5 days for full-time. Workdays are efficient, typically 3-5 hours, seeing 12-18 patients per day, with an average travel time of up to 1 hour each way. There are no weekends or holidays, and no work is scheduled during the last two weeks of the year. The role offers autonomy, freedom, and the potential to earn up to $2,000 per day (40% of collections). Technician support and mobile handheld equipment are provided.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Optometrist in the State of Florida (or have an active license application in process).
- 1099 Independent Contractor status.
- Must provide your own car, laptop, and phone.
- Clean, valid driver's license required.
