Mobile Medical Assistant
About The Position
APPS Paramedical is seeking quality medical professionals to complete insurance physicals for individuals applying for life, health, or disability insurance products. These exams are performed on a mobile basis in the client's home or office and may include blood draws, medical histories, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12-lead EKGs. Independent contractors are expected to be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision, while adhering to compliance, safety, accuracy, and confidentiality policies. Exams can range from 15 minutes to over an hour in duration.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Familiarity with taking vital signs.
- Familiarity with tablets/computers and scanners is a must.
- References will be checked.
- Background check and drug test required.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.
- EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
