Part-Time Mobile Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist
About The Position
APPS Paramedical is seeking quality medical professionals to complete insurance physicals for people applying for life, health, or disability insurance products. This is a part-time, independent contractor position where you will conduct exams on a mobile basis in the client's home or office. Exams may include blood draws, medical histories, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12-lead EKGs. You will be responsible for gathering client information accurately and confidentially, adhering to all compliance and safety policies. Exam duration can range from 15 minutes to over an hour.
Requirements
- Actively practicing phlebotomy with a minimum of 1 year of work experience.
- Trained in manual blood pressure and pulse collection.
- Familiarity with tablets/computers.
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant state certification is required.
- Reliable vehicle with a valid state driver's License and Auto Insurance.
- References will be checked.
- Background check will be conducted.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged.
- Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.
- EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalency is preferred.
