About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment including loaders, haul trucks, and support vehicles. It involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to ensure safe and efficient operations, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate service records. The position also responds to equipment breakdowns in the field and collaborates with plant operations to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy mobile equipment systems (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical)
Strong commitment to safety practices and regulatory compliance
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and reporting systems
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Responsibilities
