About The Position
REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 16 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. As our new Mobile Mechanic for Real Alloy, Chicago Heights facility, you will install, repair, construct, test, adjust, and service equipment. Our Mobile Mechanic's repair and maintenance of all mobile equipment with internal combustion engines of all types Employees must be able to work from elevated levels, operating mobile equipment, pneumatic and electrical hand tools and jacks. In this role, the Mobile Mechanic must have working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, equipment braking systems and have knowledge of the OSHA requirements for mobile equipment and safety devices. Understand pertinent diagnostic tools.
Requirements

- Reliability of attendance
- Accurately recording hours and components for each task
- Show safe work practice around the facility
- All other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, construct, test, adjust, and service equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of all mobile equipment with internal combustion engines of all types.
- Work from elevated levels, operating mobile equipment, pneumatic and electrical hand tools and jacks.
- Have working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, equipment braking systems.
- Have knowledge of the OSHA requirements for mobile equipment and safety devices.
- Understand pertinent diagnostic tools.
- Learn our safety and quality procedures.
- Build a variety of skills related to processing and melting aluminum scrap, then transferring molten aluminum into molds.
