About The Position

Crown Automotive Group's Detail Center is hiring an Experienced Car Lot Wash Attendant for their mobile lot unit. This role involves traveling among multiple locations in Pinellas County to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of automobiles on each dealership's lot. Previous professional car wash experience in an automotive dealership lot environment or a similar company with professional, multi-vehicle washing experience is required. The ideal candidate is professional, highly responsible, and self-driven to operate the mobile unit and work across all bay area stores. Requirements

  • Previous professional car wash experience in an automotive dealership lot environment or similar company with professional, multi-vehicle washing experience
  • Have mastered various washing techniques for different vehicle surfaces
  • Understand the appropriate cleaning products for specific materials
  • Skilled in detailing, including waxing and polishing
  • Knowledge to safely operate pressure washers and other equipment
  • Recognize and address common car care issues, like scratches or stains
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure a thorough clean
  • Professional, highly responsible and self-driven
  • Current, Valid driver's license
  • CLEAN driving history for at least three years (no major infractions)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Verifiable references
  • Record of good attendance
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Operation of mobile wash trailers, water reclaim systems, and chemical management

Responsibilities

  • Travel among multi-locations in Pinellas County to maintain the look and cleanliness of automobiles on each of the dealerships' lots
  • Drive the mobile unit and work at all bay area stores
  • Rapidly spray down new and used inventory to remove dust, pollen, bird droppings, and environmental debris (On-Site Inventory Rinsing)
  • Use deionized or filtered "pure water" systems to ensure vehicles dry without water spots or streaks, often eliminating the need for hand-drying (Spot-Free Finishing)
  • Employ touch-less washing techniques or specialized soft tools (like a "Shamarific") to maintain the clear coat and prevent scratching across hundreds of vehicles (Touch-less or Gentle Cleaning)
  • Operate and maintain mobile wash skids or trailers, which typically include high-capacity water tanks (150–200+ gallons), pressure hoses (up to 100+ feet), and chemical injectors (Equipment Management)
