Mobile Health Unit Driver
About The Position
The Barren River District Health Department is seeking a part-time Mobile Health Unit Driver to support outreach and public health initiatives across their 8-county district. This role involves driving the mobile unit to scheduled events, setting up and breaking down the unit, maintaining its cleanliness, and coordinating maintenance. The position also requires assisting with vehicle detailing and upkeep, and supporting events during normal business hours, evenings, and weekends as needed. The department's mission is to improve the health and safety of people in Kentucky through prevention, promotion, and protection, overseeing numerous programs in cooperation with various partners.
Requirements
- Must pass a health screening to obtain a DOT medical card
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Willingness to travel to counties within the BRDHD service area
Nice To Haves
- CDL not required, but experience with sprinter-type or similar vehicles is preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive the mobile unit to scheduled events
- Set up and breaking down the mobile unit at event sites
- Maintain cleanliness of unit and coordinate maintenance of the mobile unit
- Assist with vehicle detailing and upkeep
- Support events during normal business hours, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
