About The Position

AB Facility Services is a trusted facility solutions partner delivering integrated maintenance and building support services - helping organizations create and maintain safe, efficient, high-performing, and welcoming environments. ABFS is seeking a skilled Mobile Handyman / Maintenance Technician to travel between client sites throughout the DMV area (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia). The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs and can independently complete maintenance tickets.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
3–5 years of handyman, commercial maintenance, or skilled trades experience.
Strong hands-on skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel between multiple client locations throughout the DMV area.
Ability to work independently, use hand and power tools safely, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Commercial building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Travel to client sites throughout the DMV area to complete maintenance work orders.
Perform carpentry repairs, including drywall patching, door repairs, shelving, and hardware installation.
Complete painting, touch-ups, surface preparation, and finishing.
Perform plumbing repairs, including leaks, faucets, toilets, and fixtures.
Complete basic electrical repairs within applicable licensing and safety requirements.
Document completed work and materials through the company's ticketing system.
Communicate professionally with clients and escalate repairs requiring specialized contractors.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment.
