As a Mobile General Skilled Technician, you’ll be the cornerstone of property maintenance, ensuring our clients’ facilities operate flawlessly. Working from a fully equipped service vehicle, you’ll tackle general repairs, small projects, and preventive maintenance programs, saving clients from costly disruptions. Your expertise will shine as you troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems and equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems (three-phase wiring, generators, lighting) in commercial buildings like offices, retail spaces, and factories. (Required)
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment (e.g., ladders)
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams
  • Budget management experience
  • Comfort using mobile devices (cellphones, tablets) for work orders
  • Demonstrated experience in general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing) in commercial settings
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment with appropriate department of motor vehicles clearance and any other specific required training.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Respond to customer requests for service.
  • Assist in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.
  • Drive and operate company vehicle with GPS tracking system for business use in a cautious manner demonstrating compliance with BGIS Fleet policy for personal, client, and general public safety.
  • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities at various facilities, requiring driving of vehicle to different sites.
  • Complete work in accordance to established processes and practices.
  • Comply with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health, safety, and fire protection.
  • Provide observations about facility and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides recommendations for enhancement and repair.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems.
  • Responds to routine and on demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems (i.e. patch & paint walls, hand paintings, repair doors, replace light ballasts, etc.).
  • Record resolution data within service maintenance management database. Ensures work completed meets quality and contract response requirements.
  • Receive, track, monitor and report status of maintenance and repair work within service maintenance management database. Initiate documents to authorize or obtain formal approval of work required.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensure that deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, and that related documentations are maintained.
  • Participate in facility related projects.
  • Maintain all assigned tools and arrange for repair and replacement as required.
  • Submit all expenditures on a timely basis.
