Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking experienced Trailer Techs for Class 8 commercial tractors and trailers. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Requirements
- 5+ years of verified experience in Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
- Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with welding, certification a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical school degree, a plus.
- Class A CDL.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial tractors and trailers.
- Write detailed work orders for mobile road calls and in-yard repairs.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
- Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
- Maintain hubs and axles, adjusting or replacing them as needed.
- Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
- Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
- Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
- Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
- Respond promptly to client queries.
