About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is looking for a powerhouse mobile mechanic who has strong diesel diagnostics and mid-level trailer experience to be able to weld, do structural support and dolly legs. Technicians can earn an additional $700 bi-weekly with efficiency bonuses.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of verified experience in Commercial Tractor repair.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
  • Basic Computer Skills for submitting repairs for billing.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
  • Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with welding.
  • Welding certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school degree.
  • Class A CDL.
  • Possession of own tools.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customers' Class 8 Commercial Tractors, including Isuzu's.
  • Write detailed work orders for mobile road calls and/or in-yard repairs.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain hubs and axles, adjusting or replacing them when required.
  • Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
  • Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
  • Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
  • Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
  • Respond promptly to client queries.
