About The Position

AVMAC LLC was founded by two former Naval Aviation Maintenance Officers with extensive experience supporting aviation. The company focuses on hiring, recruiting, and training veterans to serve Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, Homeland Security, and commercial customers nationwide. The Mobile Facility Technician II inspects, services, maintains, and repairs mobile facilities, including environmental control units, generators, and all associated electrical and ancillary equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have normal color perception.
  • Security requirement: secret security clearance eligibility.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Complete the Aviation Electricians Mate Course Strand Class A1 (N23A972), at NATTC NAS Pensacola, FL.
  • Complete the Mobile Maintenance Facilities Program Course (N28T5U7) at CNATT Unit North Island, CA; or (N37T5U2) at CNATT Unit Jacksonville, FL.
  • Universal HVAC/EPA Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanics maintain, repair, and modify mobile facility structures and structural components of moderate difficulty.
  • Maintains and repairs structure, heating, air conditioning, hydraulic, and electrical mobile facility environmental control systems as applicable/required.
  • Applies technical knowledge of mobile facility systems to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition or operation.
  • Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufacturers’ manuals.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of mobile facility mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.
  • Requires broad knowledge of sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, HVAC systems and repair, electrical/generator systems.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
  • This job requires working knowledge of technical publications.
  • The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
  • Will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
  • Inspect, sign off, and may be required to make entries in mobile facility logs and records.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
