About The Position

Katapult is a nearshore software development agency that combines the best talent in LATAM, with world-class execution and leadership experience, with an AI-first approach to product engineering. Katapult works with PMF+ startups and businesses in the United States with a team-augmentation model. That means we either become or augment their current product engineering team. We are building a premium, membership-based investment platform, a product where the experience must feel fast, clean, and world-class. We are looking for a Mobile Experience Engineer with an iOS-first, native mindset who cares deeply about how things feel , not just that they work. This role is hands-on, AI-augmented, and ideal for someone who blends strong engineering fundamentals with sharp product taste. What doesn't matter is deep specialization in a specific framework or years of experience for the sake of it; what matters is how you build and how you think. You'll be joining a small, high-caliber team with high ownership and low bureaucracy, where quality and speed matter equally and you'll collaborate directly with product and design, with no layers in between.

Requirements

Advanced conversational English proficiency. Daily communication, meetings, and collaboration happen in English
Proven experience shipping real mobile apps (iOS-first preferred).
Strong taste in UI/UX, including spacing, motion, and visual clarity.
Solid skills building clean, reliable integrations with APIs.
Comfort moving fast, iterating, and operating with high ownership.
Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience with payments, subscriptions, or fintech products.
Frontend or web development experience.
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted coding workflows (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.).

Responsibilities

Build a high quality, native first iOS experience for a premium investment platform.
Craft pixel perfect UI and smooth, thoughtful interactions across the app.
Ship real features end-to-end, including authentication, transactions, and data flows.
Iterate quickly using modern AI coding tools and workflows.
Contribute across mobile and web when needed to support product velocity.
Collaborate closely with product and design to refine and elevate the user experience.
