About The Position

Austin Industrial is seeking a Mobile Equipment Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment. This role involves work both indoors and outdoors and requires a strong mechanical aptitude. The technician will be responsible for maintaining production and distribution by pulling orders, delivering materials, and staging products for shipping. The company is a leader in self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft services for industrial companies across the U.S., with over 60 years of experience.

Requirements

Must be able to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
Must be experienced with hand and power tools.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product for shipping.
Must be able to work at a fast pace.
Must always have safety first.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
Valid Driver's License.
Hand and power tool experience.
1-3 years mechanical experience.

Forklift experience helpful.

Responsibilities

Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Escorts vendors and subcontractors.
