About The Position

Empowering people who build the future. This role involves operating all mobile equipment including loaders, man-lifts, forklifts, flatbed trucks and others to transport Melt Shop and/or Refractory materials. The operator will also assist other Melt Shop personnel as instructed.

Requirements

Basic computer and math skills.
Read, write and speak in English.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years mobile equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate mobile equipment including loaders, man-lifts, forklifts, and flatbed trucks to lift and transport materials.
Perform daily preventative maintenance on vehicles and mobile equipment, which includes fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed.
Ensure loads are within the safe load capacity of each piece of mobile equipment.
Maintain material in feed hoppers or bins at an adequate operating level.
Keep constant communication with Melt Shop Team and AMT operations to monitor alloy levels.
Assist Melt Shop Operations and Refractory area with crusher operations and cleaning as needed.
Visually inspect materials for non-conformities.
Communicate problems to responsible personnel in a timely manner.
Follow all PPE requirements and safety rules and guidelines for all tasks being performed.
Maintain communication with coworkers through two-way radio and hand signals.
Demonstrate ability and willingness to work as part of a self-directed team with limited supervision.
Maintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Exhibit engagement in GBS tools and methodology.
Assist coworkers as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
